PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man from St. Helens who went missing weeks ago has been found dead after his truck was found stuck in a ditch in timberland in Cowlitz County.
On August 28, a bystander found the empty silver 2003 Ford F-150 truck belonging to missing person Brent Erickson at the Weyerhaeuser timberland near the 6402 line, the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to the scene, confirmed it was Erickson’s vehicle and a search was planned for the following morning, due to it being dark at the time.
A search took place on August 29 by Cowlitz Search and Rescue, but Erickson was not located…
