High Point man accused of making woman drink bleach, strangling her

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A High Point man is facing felony charges after he allegedly made a woman drink bleach and strangled her, according to a warrant for his arrest.

Jasmond Tyjuan Gillins, 36, of High Point, is accused in the warrant of seriously injuring a woman by making her drink bleach as well as pouring it on her. The act “was done with the intent to murder the victim,” according to the warrant.

Gillins is also accused in the warrant of strangling the woman as well as punching her several times, “which resulted in bruising, cuts, and multiple traumatic dental avulsions.”

Gillins is being charged with felony assault by strangulation, felony malicious throwing of corrosive acid or alkali, felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence…
