Bottega Napa Valley Launches Its Inaugural Cellar Series

Bottega Napa Valley has been a cornerstone of wine country dining since it was founded in 2008 by the late Chef Michael Chiarello. The Yountville restaurant has earned a loyal following for its soulful, boundary-pushing Italian cuisine, which draws on California’s seasonal bounty and pairs naturally with the region’s celebrated wines.

Today, Bottega continues its legacy under the stewardship of vintner and former Disney executive Rich Frank and hospitality veteran John Hansen, who have stood by the restaurant since its beginning. Executive Chef Alex Espinoza, a Culinary Institute of America alum and Tra Vigne veteran who joined Bottega in 2021, brings fresh creativity to the kitchen while honoring Chiarello’s original vision.

That combination of food, wine and long-standing Napa Valley relationships sets the stage for Bottega’s inaugural Cellar Series, a collection of intimate, one-night-only wine dinners featuring distinguished producers from California and Italy. For each event, Chef Espinoza will create a multi-course menu of Bottega signatures and seasonal dishes paired with six to eight wines from the featured estate.
