Teens accused of kicking in Phoenix family’s front door in viral ‘prank’

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A Phoenix family said two teenagers caused thousands of dollars in damage after kicking in their front door on Saturday morning. Phoenix police said the incident may be connected to a dangerous social media trend.

The incident happened near Tatum and Greenway roads at about 6 a.m. A woman in the home, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she heard a loud bang and first thought someone was breaking in or that a car had run into the home.

Ring video footage captured two people who appear to be teenage boys opening the family’s front gate and running to the front door while trying to cover their faces. One then turns around and kicks the door open before they run off…
