FARMINGTON, Utah (KUTV) — The National Weather Service is taking a closer look at a tornado that touched down high in the Wasatch Mountains, becoming the third confirmed tornado in Utah this year.
The tornado moved through parts of Davis and Morgan counties Friday. Early estimates indicate its damage path could stretch roughly four miles.
National Weather Service meteorologist Darren Van Cleave described the tornado’s preliminary path to 2News.

“So right now it appears to have started around Bair Creek Canyon and extended northeast across the crest of the Wasatch, just north of Francis Peak through Middlesmith Lake and onto private property,” Van Cleave said…
