We’re keeping a close eye on a developing nor’easter that will likely impact parts of the Greater Boston area this weekend with rain, gusty winds, and coastal flooding.

Here’s what we know right now: The storm is expected to develop east of the Carolinas today and gradually track north toward New England by Friday evening.
The earliest impacts for eastern Mass. will likely occur late Friday evening as the system’s outer rain bands push over the Cape and the Islands.
As the storm churns closer to the southern New England coast on Saturday, bands of on and off rain will likely move over eastern and central Mass.
The rain could be heavy at times, not only on Saturday but also into Sunday. As we’ve mentioned before, the storm’s track will determine how impactful this storm will be over our area.
