In what would have been the 40th anniversary year of Mallard’s Restaurant had it stayed open, founder Dan Costa said he is bringing it back. The timing is coincidental, though.
Costa opened Mallard’s in 1986 in McHenry Village. He sold it and the Stockton location in 2005 to Richard Sang, who tanked them in 2007.
Costa “recaptured” the Mallard’s brand that same year, he said, and is reviving it nearly 20 years later. The reason is not as cut and dry as “People miss it.”…
