Rain in forecast won’t stop UF homecoming parade

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Rain in Friday’s forecast is not stopping the University of Florida’s homecoming parade. Students and performers who have been preparing say they are ready to take part, rain or shine.

Thousands are expected to attend the UF homecoming parade, one of Gator Nation’s biggest celebrations. The student-run tradition dates back to the 1920s and brings together student groups, local organizations and the community to show Gator pride.
