After not seeing rain for a while, some rain is back in the forecast, but just not right away. The remainder of the weekend will be dry, but also mostly cloudy. As we start a new work week, the area of high pressure will continue moving east, allowing for milder temperatures moving back into the area. Seasonal temperatures will be with us Monday as highs reach the upper 60s in D.C., but eventually the southeast winds will help to bring a gradual warming of the low to mid-70s back to the DMV.
The area will stay dry until late Wednesday, and way out ahead of our next frontal system. As the front approaches, rain/shower chances increase for Thursday and the first half of Friday, before our skies dry out and the wet weather moves out to sea by the first weekend in November. Behind the cold front, afternoon highs will drop back into the 50s and 60s across the region, and overnight lows will be in the 40s and 50s.
7 Day Forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Light north wind…
