Mounds View police are asking the public to turn in security camera footage after a car struck a fire hydrant and sheared it off at the base on Monday night, causing four water main breaks.
The City of Mounds View said four water main breaks occured after a vehicle hit a fire hydrant at Spring Lake Road and Ardan Avenue around 9 p.m. and drove away.
The city added the damage will cost over $50,000 to repair as the water main has to be fixed, trees will need to be removed and the asphalt and concrete have to be replaced…
