PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Drivers across Pinellas County should plan for extra travel time next week as state transportation crews carry out roadwork across several busy corridors.
The Florida Department of Transportation District 7 has released its lane closure schedule for the week of Sunday, Oct. 4, through Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The planned work includes a mix of overnight construction, daytime lane reductions, and extended 24-hour closures.
Major overnight delays are expected along U.S. 19. Both northbound and southbound lanes between State Road 580 (Main Street) and State Road 586 (Curlew Road) will see night closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., running Sunday, Oct. 4, through Thursday night, Oct. 8. Along the same stretch, northbound traffic on the U.S. 19 Frontage Road from SR 580 to Evans Road will face nightly lane closures during the same 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. window…
