Driver pleads guilty to death of innocent woman killed during Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s chase

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A driver pleaded guilty Monday to charges in connection with a car crash that killed an innocent woman during a chase with Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s deputies.

Jaymone Whitaker II pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of aggravated vehicular assault, one count of vehicular assault, one count of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, and one count of operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug abuse, or combination of them (OVI).

Whitaker will be sentenced on July 7.
