AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — Summit County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday, June 4, arrested a 41-year-old man accused of raping and murdering a female victim.
Adam Richardson, 41, of Green, is now in the Summit County jail on charges of murder, rape and felonious assault, according to a news release from Sheriff Kandy Fatheree.

The female victim called 911 to report the sexual assault to sheriff’s deputies, according to the release. Deputies transported her to a local hospital, where she was treated.
She later died due to injuries suffered in the assault, according to the release.
