AKRON — On the Friday before Labor Day in 1956, 10-year-old Andy January skipped school to unload a truckful of buckets of paint. His father and mother were preparing to open a paint store near downtown Akron, and January quickly decided that shopkeeping was more fun than school.
After 70 years in business, January Paint and Wallpaper is still all in the family.
