CLEVELAND, Ohio — The number of teenagers charged in Cuyahoga County homicides dropped significantly last year, but local leaders are staying cautiously optimistic.
According to data from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, 19 teens were charged in homicide cases in 2025 involving 18 victims across 17 separate incidents. That marked a sharp decrease from 2024, when 41 teens were charged in connection with 31 deaths in 29 incidents.
