Former CMHA housing manager pleads guilty to stealing from tenant

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A former Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority property manager has admitted to stealing from a tenant.

On Thursday, Dominique Clayton, 38, of Highland Heights pleaded guilty to theft in office and forgery after authorities said she stole from her tenant.

Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge John Russo sentenced her to a year of probation. Russo noted state law prevents Clayton from ever again serving in public office. If Clayton violates her probation, she could serve six months in prison, Russo said…
