Tornado confirmed in Northeast Ohio on Sunday

(WKBN) — The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh toured damage in two areas on Monday following severe weather that rolled through the Valley on Sunday afternoon.

Survey results concluded that two tornadoes touched down. One of those tornadoes occurred in Salem, in Columbiana County. Another tornado was confirmed in Jefferson County in west-central Pennsylvania north of Punxsutawney.

The Salem tornado in Columbiana County is the 22nd tornado on record in the county since 1950. The most recent was an EF-0 on June 11, 2021…
