Hundreds of Hinckley Township residents without power after tractor-trailer crashes into power pole, per officials

  • A semi-truck crash into a power pole on Center Road in Hinckley Township has left over 400 FirstEnergy customers without power as of 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

A portion of Center Road (State Route 303) in Hinckley Township is closed after a semi-truck crashed into a power pole on Wednesday, leaving many residents without power, according to the Hinckley Township Police Department.

At around 5:10 p.m., officers responded to the scene of the 100 block of Center Road (SR 303), where a tractor-trailer truck had jackknifed and crashed into a power pole. It was later determined that the truck had attempted to climb a steep incline, failed to do so, and began rolling backwards before crashing.
