BRUNSWICK, Ohio – The July Fourth weekend wouldn’t be complete without the Brunswick Parade, re-started three years ago by Realtor Sheila Watson. While she’d never organized a parade, each year has been spectacular for local parade lovers and this year, the parade welcomed more than 70 units of all sizes.
With heavy rain the morning, Watson said she kept her eye on the weather and stayed in touch with the city police and fire departments, always with the expectation of continuing as long as the weather didn’t become dangerous.
Instead, the rain halted a good hour before step off time at 2 p.m. and by the end, the sun was brightly shining – and the humidity had returned but at least it didn’t jump back into the 90—plus degree temperatures…
