Century-old house in Perry Township to be razed for new business

PERRY TWP. − The old white house on the main highway between Canton and Massillon is about to be toppled by Blizzards — and Dilly bars, Peanut Buster parfaits and banana splits.

The stately 118-year-old building, with four front porch pillars, stands out in what’s largely a corridor of modern commercial development along both sides of Tuscarawas Street W.

The now-empty structure at 4905 Tuscarawas Street W would be razed to make way for a new Dairy Queen if the county signs off an pending plans…
