NEW FRANKLIN — Three New Franklin roads scheduled for paving this year were recently moved to next year’s paving list due to another project in the area.
Mayor Steve Rector announced at the July 1 New Franklin City Council meeting that Hyman Avenue, Durbin Avenue and Coleman Drive were removed from the 2026 paving list when the city was contacted by representatives from Enbridge about a gas pipeline project this fall.
Rector said the pipeline work will require removing roadway surface in the area, requiring the paving to be delayed to avoid the city “having to pave there twice.”…
