Wadsworth council votes down College Street rezoning proposal

WADSWORTH — Wadsworth City Council unanimously rejected a proposed rezoning during Tuesday’s meeting that would have allowed three city-owned College Street lots to be developed for residential use.

Council voted 7-0 against an amended ordinance to change the zoning district classification of city lots 5049 and 5050 from R-1 residential to R-2 residential. The proposal would also have changed lot 5051 from College Street Gateway to R-2 residential.
