New Franklin to host Lakeside Barbecue fundraiser in new Tudor House conservatory

NEW FRANKLIN — The City will host its seventh annual community fundraiser, Lakeside Barbecue, Aug. 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the new glass conservatory at the Tudor House on Portage Lakes, 655 Latham Lane. The new 100-by-40 foot clear glass conservatory replaces the tent at the venue, allowing for indoor events at the property.

Property owner Tim Canter, of Mason’s Cove, told City Council last year the conservatory had long been on his wish list for the property, and the $1.5 million structure was completed and ready for events May 1.

Due to spacing limits at the conservatory, the event is capped at 250 attendees…
