Akron man pleads guilty to trafficking charges in Portage County

One of two men charged with trafficking drugs after a January high-speed pursuit that ended in a crash in Brimfield Township has pleaded guilty.

Adrien Louis Hobdy, 40, of Akron, pleaded guilty July 27 in Portage County Common Pleas Court to trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in heroin, all first-degree felonies, and aggravated trafficking in drugs (meth) and having a weapon under disability, both third-degree felonies, the Portage County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Sentencing is pending a report from the court’s adult probation office…
