NAVARRE, Ohio (WJW) — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a Tuesday morning, Aug. 4, crash between a semi-truck and an electric bicycle that killed a 24-year-old Stark County woman.
It happened just after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Wooster streets in Navarre, Stark County, according to a news release.

A semi-truck pulling a cargo box trailer, driven by a 44-year-old Columbus man, was headed south on Main Street while an electric bicycle ridden by Veronica G. Winland, 24, of Navarre, was headed west on Wooster Street, according to the release.
Winland did not yield for a red light at the intersection and collided with the trailer of the semi-truck, according to the release. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
