Man accused of attacking woman in Stark County parking lot returns to court

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The man accused of stabbing a woman in a Jackson Township parking lot and leading Portage County Sheriff deputies on a chase, returns to court Wednesday for a competency hearing.

Tyrone Card, 44, was previously indicted on the below charges:

  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated robbery
  • Aggravated robbery
  • Felonious assault
  • Felonious assault

In April, Card changed his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.

According to Jackson Township police, the attack happened just before 8 a.m. Feb. 17 in the 5100 block of Dressler Rd. NW in the Belden Village area.
