WOOSTER, Ohio (WJW) – A Wooster woman was pleasantly surprised after recently winning $50,000 from a scratch-off ticket.
According to Ohio Lottery , the woman purchased the “$1,000,000 Cashword” ticket from the Speedway gas station at 1970 Cleveland Road in Wooster.

“I leaned down and scanned the ticket and thought it said it was a $5,000 winner,” she told lottery officials. “Then, my friend tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘you better look again!’”
After state and federal taxes, the woman will take come $38,000. She plans on using her winnings to buy a new car, Ohio Lottery says.

The lottery game, which costs $20 per ticket, has a jackpot of $40,000 a year for 25 years. According to lottery officials, there are still four top prizes up for grabs.
