North Royalton police sergeant demoted, patrolman fired for leaking confidential records on Orange deputy chief’s OVI arrest

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio (WJW) — A North Royalton police patrolman has been terminated, and a sergeant demoted, following an internal investigation into the unauthorized release of classified police records.

The documents related to the Oct. 11 arrest of Orange Village Deputy Police Chief Patrick O’Callahan in Parma on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, while three loaded weapons were reportedly in the vehicle.
