The owner of Metropolis Popcorn said that he has decided not to renew the lease on the gourmet popcorn’s Hudson storefront, and will close that location on Sunday, April 26.
However, the Cuyahoga Falls location will remain open, owner Brent VanFossen said in a social media post.
“Our online and food truck sales are growing, and our overall company sales remain strong,” VanFossen stated. “However, Hudson has struggled to return to its pre-covid sales levels. We’ve been using the profits from the higher-performing areas of the company to keep it solvent. It doesn’t make sense to continue operating like that.”
