MEDINA, Ohio – Last month, administrators of the Medina City School District took time to outline a proposed five-year strategic plan for the district and during their April 21 meeting, the Medina Board of Education approved the plan.
Superintendent Aaron Sable said this is the third strategic plan he has been a part of since coming to Medina. The district worked with the Hudson-based Impact Group to develop the plan. Preparation included focus groups with staff, students, parents and community members as well as one-on-one interviews with community leaders and a community survey.
“I’ve had this discussion with some board members and it’s important to understand this plan isn’t a map but a destination,” Sable said. “With this plan we are creating a pathway to meet our goals, and we will spend time working on each step of our plan.”…
