GasBuddy says Ohio could see ‘double spike week’ as gas prices surge: Some Greater Cleveland stations now listed at $4.29 per gallon

CLEVELAND — Just one day after GasBuddy reported another jump in gas prices in Akron and Cleveland, there’s a new warning that drivers in Ohio could see “a double spike week.”

Patrick De Haan, who is the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, posted the following update on X Tuesday morning: ALERT: Great Lakes states- MI, IN, IL, WI, OH could see a double spike week as continued refinery challenges in the region has caused a large surge in wholesale gas prices, which are now ~40c/gal above their early April level.
