Chef Michael Schoen will open two restaurants in northeast Ohio as Eugene Tavern will open this summer in Chagrin Falls and Barbecue Gene will open in 2027 in the Collinwood neighborhood in Cleveland.
EugeneTavern will take over the space previously occupied by Flip Side Burgers, which closed in 2024 after 10 years of business at 44 N. Main St. in Chagrin Falls. Lopez 44, a Mexican restaurant operated by Cleveland Restaurant Management Group, briefly occupied the space, as well.
