AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – A man with a lengthy criminal record has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms offenses committed while he was on parole, according to the Department of Justice.
36-year-old Darron Portis, of Akron, was sentenced to 120 months in prison and four years of supervised release.
According to court records, Portis has prior felony convictions for aggravated robbery in 2008, abduction in 2012, burglary in 2015, and being a felon in possession of a firearm in 2021.
