Gloversville Police (GPD) launched an investigation on May 13 after being contacted by GESD officials about private communications that had reportedly taken place between a teacher and multiple students. Detectives determined that Ille, who police confirmed is a teacher employed with the district, allegedly created a social media account under a fake name and posed as a student in order to contact school children.

GPD took Ille into custody on May 29 and said that he’s currently slated to be arraigned at Gloversville City Court. Police also stated that the Gloversville Enlarged School District has been cooperative with law enforcement as the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone in the community who believes their children may have been in contact with Ille is asked to call Detective Pescetti with Gloversville Police at (518)773-4513 or email [email protected].
