On Friday morning, deputies responded to the intersection of Denton and Locust Grove Roads following up on reports of a one-car crash in the area. The SCSO determined that the involved driver, 39-year-old Jobeth Williams of Hudson Falls, collided with a tree near the intersection, resulting in the car catching on fire.
Williams was declared dead at the scene. According to detectives, Williams allegedly stole the car from Seward Street in Saratoga Springs after leaving Saratoga Hospital earlier that morning. The investigation remains ongoing.
