SCOTIA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As America gets ready to celebrate its 250th anniversary, one Capital Region community marked the milestone the same way it has since the bicentennial. On Friday night, thousands of people gathered for the Scotia-Glenville Independence Day Celebration at Jumpin’ Jack’s Drive-In.

“What better place to come celebrate the country’s independence than an American burger joint?” said owner of Jumpin’ Jack’s Mark Lansing.
The Village of Scotia’s Signature Independence Celebration was filled with food, music, and plenty of red, white and blue. There were food trucks, activities, as well as a waterski show.
