3 injured after wrong-way car crashes into ambulance in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Three people were injured on Saturday following a wrong-way crash involving an ambulance on I-90 Exit 6 in Albany, according to New York State Police. No arrests have reportedly been made as of Sunday morning.

State Police were dispatched to the scene just before 9 p.m. According to an investigation, an eastbound Colonie EMS ambulance was en route to Albany Medical Center with a patient when it was hit by a wrong-way car on the Exit 6 off-ramp.

The ambulance driver and onboard paramedic were reportedly taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The onboard patient did not receive any injuries during the crash and was taken to Albany Medical Center by another ambulance for treatment of their original medical emergency, police said…
