RED HOOK – A Schenectady man has been arrested in Red Hook and charged with trying to cash a fake check for $2,500 issued to a local ambulance company.
A quick-thinking teller at the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union at 7472 South Broadway stalled the customer, later identified as Joseph Blaney, 41, while police were notified.
Officers arrived within two minutes and took him into custody, charging him with possession of a forged instrument and attempted grand larceny, both as felonies…
