ALBANY — All city pools will open for the season on Saturday.
Mayor Dorcey Applyrs made the announcement Wednesday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new swimming pool at the West Hill Community Center. Starting Saturday, city pools will be open seven days a week from 1 to 7 p.m. Those facilities include Mater Christi, the Arbor Hill Community Center and the West Hill Community Center.
The Lincoln Park Pool, the multimillion-dollar jewel in Albany’s public aquatics crown, will also be open seven days a week, though it will operate from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday to accommodate preparations for the Empire State Plaza fireworks show, Applyrs said.
