The show was set to be a stop on the band’s 2026 “Celebrate 250 Years of the USA” tour, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding and the 60th anniversary of the group’s “Pet Sounds” album. The cancellation follows the announcement that the tour is taking a hiatus from July 23 through September 3.
“Playing for you is the highlight of our summer every year. We’ve been having a blast out there, and to keep the good vibrations going strong, we’ll be taking a short break to recharge before getting back on the road in September,” the band said in a statement issued this week. “All tickets for postponed performances will be honored following our return late September. Please contact your local box office for additional information and questions. Thanks for your understanding—we can’t wait to see you back out there for a September to remember.”

M&T Bank Center officials confirmed that there’s currently no postponement date for the concert due to conflicts with the Union College hockey schedule in September. The venue stated that ticket holders will be issued an automatic refund in the coming days.
