MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) —The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS) recently received a major investment to help some of its hardest to place animals. State leaders announced $1.2 million for a proposed Behavioral Rehabilitation and Outreach Center, also known as the BROC. But the real story isn’t just about the funding; it’s about the people who help fearful, anxious and misunderstood dogs get a second chance.
Some call them dog trainers; others call them animal whisperers, Nancy Haynes is a certified behavior consultant and dog trainer. On Wednesday she showed NEWS10’s Tyanna Xavier how she would train dogs with behavioral challenges.
