CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Growing up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Shannon Thompson was always surrounded by fresh seafood. Now, she’s bringing that seafood to Clifton Park.

Thompson is opening up Oyster & Fin Seafood Market in the former H&R Block space at 841 Route 146. Thompson said she moved to the area about three years ago and struggled to find fresh seafood, so she decided to open her own seafood market.
Oyster & Fin will offer fresh tuna, salmon, swordfish, haddock, lobster (in a 350 gallon tank), oysters, and more. As for more prepared foods, there will be lobster rolls and poké bowls.

To get the seafood, Thompson is working will several suppliers along the Eastern coast, many of whom are from the Boston pier. Oyster & Fin will also focus on catering, offering caviar, oyster shuckers and a raw bar for events.
As it used to be a H&R Block, Thompson said they had to do a complete overhaul of the space. She’s aiming to open Oyster & Fin in mid-October.
