BETHLEHEM. N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Wynantskill man succumbed to his injuries after a head-on crash in Delmar on August 24. According to an update by the Bethlehem Police Department, the victim has been identified as 62-year-old Kevin Hynes.

Police said Hynes’ car collided with another vehicle after he swerved to miss colliding with a turning car. According to police, the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Delaware Avenue near Fisher Boulevard.
An investigation determined that Hynes was heading westbound when another car, driven by 71-year-old Daniel Holleran, failed to yield the right of way when attempting to make left turn. In response, Hynes swerved out of the way, but entered the eastbound lane as another car was passing and crashed head-on.
At the time of the crash, Hynes was transported to the hospital for serious injuries. But over the weekend, he died from those injuries…
