SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schaghticoke Fair has launched a new tool to make it fairly easy for fairgoers to find their way around the grounds. The Navigator is a wayfinding tool announced as part of a partnership with AGW Solutions, LLC.

The launch comes just days before the Schaghticoke Fair prepares to open its gates on Wednesday, September 2. As one of the largest events in the Capital Region, the fair draws about 100,000 visitors each year. The Navigator aims to help fairgoers easily locate all the activities, food, drinks and more, that the fair has to offer.
The Navigator works directly in a phone’s browser after scanning a QR code posted around the fairgrounds. There is no app download, account or personal information required.

Visitors can search for what they’re looking for and be guided to it from wherever they are on the grounds. In short, fair officials describe the purpose of The Navigator as a way to take a fairgoer from “Where?” to “Right there.”
“I remember going to a fair and asking someone, ‘Where did you get that cool drink?’ and they pointed in a general direction. I looked around but never found where they got it from,” said Andrew Wallace, owner of AGW Solutions. “That was when I realized there had to be an easier way to find anything on the fairgrounds and clear directions on how to get there.”
