17 Animals Neglected in Upstate NY

Ugh, another disturbing animal neglect case in Saratoga County has led to the arrests of two people after authorities say 17 animals were found without proper care.

According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received an animal complaint on August 11th about a home on Angel Road in the Town of Corinth.

Two Arrested in Saratoga County

Following an investigation, deputies arrested 31-year-old Shannon M. Long of Hadley and 47-year-old Michael L. Bovee of Corinth on Saturday.

Both Long and Bovee were charged with 17 counts each of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance, both misdemeanors…
