Rotterdam man charged with felony weapon possession after stolen gun found in car

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT) — Rotterdam Police said officers found a stolen loaded handgun during a traffic stop and charged a Schenectady man with a felony weapons count.

According to the Rotterdam Police Department, officers responded at 3:06 a.m. Sept. 7 to a call about someone allegedly displaying a firearm in a threatening way. During the investigation, police found the suspect vehicle near Burnett Street and conducted a traffic stop.
