SCHENECTADY — Police took a person into custody late Thursday morning at Ellis Hospital.
Police responded around 10:22 a.m. for a report of a patient trying to harm himself with a small knife, Schenectady police spokesman Lt. Ryan Macherone said. A law enforcement official previously said the man had two knives and was in emotional distress.
The patient was already being addressed by hospital security by the time officers arrived and was detained by police without incident, Macherone said…
