MENANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A family-owned manufacturing company is set to receive a grant to support a $12 million investment in its Menands campus. On Wednesday, Albany County and Advance Albany County Alliance announced a $908,000 Sustainable Technology and Green Energy (STAGE) Grant will go to NSH USA Corporation.

The longtime Capital Region company manufactures advanced machine tool and automation systems. The grant money will support the construction of a new 18,000-square-foot manufacturing building at the company’s Menands campus.
“NSH USA is building on a longstanding manufacturing legacy in Albany County, and this $12 million investment is a strong vote of confidence in our workforce, our communities and the future of manufacturing here,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “Through the STAGE Grant Program, Albany County is helping companies like NSH USA make investments that strengthen our economy while advancing cleaner, more sustainable technologies.”
The new facility will be attached to the company’s existing facility and house a new 40-ton overhead crane. It will create and retain 137 highly skilled manufacturing job, including engineers, machinists, welders, fabricators, technicians, assembly workers and other positions.
