GasBuddy: Albany gas prices drop 6.6 cents in last week

ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Average gasoline prices in Albany have fallen 6.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.30/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 546 stations in Albany. Prices in Albany are 19.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 61.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 3.4 cents in the last week and stands at $3.57 per gallon- the lowest level since January, 2022, over 900 days ago.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Albany was priced at $2.96/g yesterday while the most expensive was $3.59/g, a difference of 63.0 cents per gallon. The lowest price in the state yesterday was $2.68/g while the highest was $4.39/g, a difference of $1.71/g.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 6.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.15/g today. The national average is down 26.2 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 70.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
