Hudson man arraigned after allegedly trying to vote as deceased person

HUDSON, N.Y. (WNYT) – A Hudson man has been arraigned on multiple charges after officials say he tried to obtain a mail-in ballot in the name of a deceased person.

According to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office, Kevin Sweet, 42, submitted a mail-in ballot application for the 2024 fall election in the name of a deceased person. Sweet allegedly tried to have the ballot sent to an address associated with him.
